Challenge:
One of the challenges in managing remote diesel deliveries is the lack of real-time visibility into diesel levels in both the delivery truck and the destination tank. This can result in inefficient delivery scheduling, unnecessary trips, and potential stockouts or overfills. Traditional methods of manual monitoring or periodic checks are time-consuming, labor-intensive, and prone to errors, leading to increased costs and operational inefficiencies.
Solution:
Ellenex's submersible level sensors, powered by Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) technology, offer a comprehensive solution for remote diesel delivery management. Two types of sensors can be utilized in this solution:
- PLG2-N level sensor with GPS for the truck to track its movements and diesel level: This sensor is installed in the delivery truck and offers both diesel level monitoring and GPS tracking capabilities. It can provide near real-time data on the diesel level in the truck, allowing for optimal route planning and scheduling of deliveries. Additionally, the GPS tracking feature enables near real-time tracking of the truck's movements, helping to ensure that the delivery is on schedule and the truck is operating efficiently.
-
PLS2-N standard level sensor for the tank at the destination: This sensor is installed in the destination tank and provides near real-time monitoring of diesel levels. It is capable of accurately measuring the diesel level, even in harsh environments, and can send the data to the cloud using NB-IoT connectivity. The sensor can also provide alerts when the diesel level reaches a predefined threshold, enabling proactive replenishment planning and avoiding stockouts.
In contrast to numerous alternatives in the market, Ellenex's remote diesel delivery solution has a proven track record of reliable performance over extended periods. Moreover, it offers seamless integration with other monitoring solutions through its API, enabling adaptability and interoperability with various systems for efficient diesel delivery operations.
